A bright airy room with serving hatch to the adjacent kitchen. A brand new oak polished floor has just been laid (April 2024) and is suitable for dancing, gymnastics and general activities. This hall is particularly suitable for receptions, larger meetings, jumble sales, banquets, carpet bowls. There are adequate chairs and tables to seat up to 95.
The main hall is also used for public events and meetings. It is particularly suitable for local and national elections and serves as a polling station.
The adjacent kitchens support customers who wish to do their own catering, for example a traditional and low cost family wedding. Other typical events include coffee mornings, bingo, keep fit classes, dancing etc.
Selwood Small Hall – 8.5m x 6m (28’ x 20’) – Standard Rate £8.00 / hr
A small hall equipped for use as a dance studio with Vinyl non slip floor and wall barres.
With windows on both sides this room has exceptionally good natural light making it popular with art classes.
The room size is also suitable for meetings, youth groups or pack activities.
Chairs and tables are available.
Tennyson Room – 8.5m x 6m (28’ x 20’) – Standard Rate £8.00 / hr
Light and airy, carpeted and heated.
Recently redecorated.
This room is used more for small groups and seats around a variable table arrangement about 15 people around moveable tables.
There is a 65” bright screen monitor available for Hirers to use. Instructions for use can be provided.
School Room – Rate £8 / hr or £5 / hr
School Room £8.00 per hour with access through the Main Hall and £5.00 per hour with restricted access via the backstairs.
Light, airy and heated.
Recently decorated
Suitable for small groups and meetings. Seats comfortably about 20 people around moveable tables.
NOTE: If booked on its own access is via a separate door and not through the main building. There is NO convenient access to toilet facilities.
NOTE: The bar is only available when hiring the main hall. Rainer Barnes of Harpars Bar (01507 824851) must be contacted for licensing.
NOTE: The large kitchen is available free of charge for the making of tea and coffee, when booking the Main Hall. If cooking facilities are required there will be an additional charge of £3.00 per hour. Please specify that cooking facilities will be required when making a booking. There is a smaller kitchen available for making tea and coffee for hirers of all other rooms.
